Let's start by creating a new empty package. We do so by selecting File/New Package from the package manager main menu. Name the package any name (I named it test). This will be the name of the package that we will be creating (Figure 1).
To begin installation you will need to download the Stora setup CD and place it on a CD-RW disk. You will then need to boot your computer with the CD in the disk drive and then boot from the CD-RW disk. Once you have booted from the CD-RW disk you should be presented with the Stora Setup option. Start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you choose to install the Stora Desktop you will be presented with further options. There are two types of Stora Desktop setups. You can either setup the Stora as a Static IP or as a DHCP IP. This is all explained on the next page.
The Stora Manager is also a two-choice affair. You can setup the Stora Manager to be a Static IP or a DHCP IP. The top choice for the Stora Manager is the Stora router and the bottom choice is the other storas in your network. The choice of Stora Manager, whether Static or DHCP, is only available after you have selected the Stora Desktop.
When the setup program runs you will be asked to choose the options presented. If you choose DHCP IP on the Stora Router box the setup will begin immediately. If you choose Static IP the setup will proceed as soon as you have made your choice. Once you have made your choice you will be presented with the option to choose your location for the Stora.
Step 4. If you are using a PAL version of STORA DEVICES select PAL CONTROL and click on START. If you are using a NTSC version of STORA DEVICES select NTSC CONTROL and click on START.
