The Provisioning Server to Control Security Appliances (PS3) is a web server that can be used to manage multiple Cisco ASA application protocol security appliances. Cisco's PS3 is a platform-independent web server that can be used to access information about, VPN configurations, and provisioning information specific to Cisco ASA for a large number of Cisco product types, including the Cisco ASR series, Cisco ASA, Cisco ASA 5500 series, 150/260 devices, ASA 1210, 1220, 1230, 1240, 1250, and 1260, and Cisco Fibre Channel solutions.
Enter the serial number of the Cisco ASA. You can get this by looking on the chassis, or doing a show version or a show activation-key. The license key will be emailed to you, and then all you have to do is enter it into the ASA with the activation-key command.
The Cisco ASA speaksthe Cisco SPAAS protocol to transfer stored lists of encryption keys or certificates from one Cisco ASA to another in the same network. The Cisco ASA sends the commands to which encryption key or certificate to send, and whether or not the command will be sent in process and store state. The Cisco ASA also assures that the rest of the Cisco ASA will be informed about the encryption key or certificate being sent without any corrupt packets. 7211a4ac4a
