Eganville District Public School

This charming school in our home community is a power house of kindness and creativity.  We have been so fortunate to team up with the staff and students who were already well underway with some innovative projects.  One of the cool things about aeroponic gardens is the ease of experimentation and close observation.  Teacher are amazing to work with because they truly understand there are no mistakes - only opportunities to learn!

Add fish, magnets, a microscope.

Play with lighting, explore different nutrients.  Let the students take charge and you can't go wrong!

With this particular school we are very excited to be embarking on an experiment in air quality and humidification measures using simple towers.  Many schools across Ontario have difficulty maintaining good air quality.  Health recommendations are 1000ppm and 40-60% relative humidity.  Air purifiers have been installed in the past without achieving optimal success.  The introduction of garden towers has seen promising results with significant reduction of ppm and balanced humidity. Several Renfrew County schools are now tracking their data for further exploration.
